In light of the recent news regarding the spread of COVID-19, we wanted to update you about ongoing plans for our East Coast Ministers\u2019 Conference:<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> The conference is not cancelled. We feel that it is too early to make that decision. The Lord establishes our steps, and we aware that our plan may change, but as of today the plan is to hold the conference.<\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> In the event that it is necessary to cancel the conference, registrants will receive a full refund. Refunds will be automatic, you will not need to apply for it. In the event that we do cancel, we would ask for your patience as there will be a lot of administration required to process all of the refunds.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> Because of the growing situation with the spread of COVID-19, registration has been temporarily closed. If you are interested in attending the conference, you can join the waitlist on our registration page<\/a>. As soon as the registration is re-opened you will be sent a notification via email.<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong> If you are at higher risk<\/a> for contracting COVID-19 and would like to go ahead and cancel your registration, we would be happy to process your full refund. Please contact rob@banneroftruth.org<\/a> to let us know.<\/p>\n

We will continue to pay close attention to government issued statements about how to proceed according to the COVID-19 protocol and will update this article if our plans change.<\/p>\n

In light of all the current changes to communities, churches, and families, would you consider reflecting on Proverbs 16 with us? The Lord\u2019s providence is indeed mysterious, but be encouraged that our Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble. In carrying out his providential care for all of His children, he does so with all mercy and wisdom.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 16 (ESV)
\nThe plans of the heart belong to man,
\nbut the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
\n2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes,
\nbut the LORD weighs the spirit.
\n3 Commit your work to the LORD,
\nand your plans will be established.
\n4 The LORD has made everything for its purpose,
\neven the wicked for the day of trouble.
\n5 Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the LORD;
\nbe assured, he will not go unpunished.
\n6 By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for,
\nand by the fear of the LORD one turns away from evil.
\n7 When a man’s ways please the LORD,
\nhe makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
\n8 Better is a little with righteousness
\nthan great revenues with injustice.
\n9 The heart of man plans his way,
\nbut the LORD establishes his steps.
\n10 An oracle is on the lips of a king;
\nhis mouth does not sin in judgment.
\n11 A just balance and scales are the LORD’s;
\nall the weights in the bag are his work.
\n12 It is an abomination to kings to do evil,
\nfor the throne is established by righteousness.
\n13 Righteous lips are the delight of a king,
\nand he loves him who speaks what is right.
\n14 A king’s wrath is a messenger of death,
\nand a wise man will appease it.
\n15 In the light of a king’s face there is life,
\nand his favor is like the clouds that bring the spring rain.
\n16 How much better to get wisdom than gold!
\nTo get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
\n17 The highway of the upright turns aside from evil;
\nwhoever guards his way preserves his life.
\n18 Pride goes before destruction,
\nand a haughty spirit before a fall.
\n19 It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor
\nthan to divide the spoil with the proud.
\n20 Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good,
\nand blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.
\n21 The wise of heart is called discerning,
\nand sweetness of speech increases persuasiveness.
\n22 Good sense is a fountain of life to him who has it,
\nbut the instruction of fools is folly.
\n23 The heart of the wise makes his speech judicious
\nand adds persuasiveness to his lips.
\n24 Gracious words are like a honeycomb,
\nsweetness to the soul and health to the body.
\n25 There is a way that seems right to a man,
\nbut its end is the way to death.
\n26 A worker’s appetite works for him;
\nhis mouth urges him on.
\n27 A worthless man plots evil,
\nand his speech is like a scorching fire.
\n28 A dishonest man spreads strife,
\nand a whisperer separates close friends.
\n29 A man of violence entices his neighbor
\nand leads him in a way that is not good.
\n30 Whoever winks his eyes plans dishonest things;
\nhe who purses his lips brings evil to pass.
\n31 Gray hair is a crown of glory;
\nit is gained in a righteous life.
\n32 Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty,
\nand he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
\n33 The lot is cast into the lap,
\nbut its every decision is from the LORD.<\/p>\n
