A Reading Challenge – Lloyd-Jones on Romans

Category Articles
Date January 25, 2010

Back in 2009, Pastor Reggie Weems from Johnson City, Tennessee challenged the men of his congregation at Heritage Baptist Church to buy the entire 14-volume set of Martyn Lloyd-Jones on Romans and commit to reading it, following a reading schedule that he had developed, that would take them through the next 18 months. Now, in January 2010, Pastor Weems reports,

By the Lord’s great grace we have now reached 40 men reading Romans. Two more men ordered the set this week and one man has purchased the MP3s (but I am still counting him as reading). While this was my initial goal I was unsure 40 men would sign up for such an arduous challenge.

Imagine, 40 men in one congregation embarking on such a journey!
