Rebecca Frawley

Rebecca Glenn Frawley was born in Orlando, Florida. She received an MA in Higher Education from Appalachian State University in 2007 and expects to complete her Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Management with Regent University in 2013. She is currently Associate Dean of Academics and Institutional Effectiveness at Montreat College and lives in Asheville, North Carolina.

Becky and her husband, Watson, compose and perform Christian worship music, which is freely available through their website http://www.wbfrawleymusic.com/index.php. Watson and Becky both became Christians during their teenage years, and met a couple of years later at a weekly campus prayer meeting at Florida State University in Tallahassee. They were friends for a number of years before they began singing together at a campus coffee-house, weddings, local churches, and as part of the worship team at their church. They were married in 1984, and have one married daughter.

Their first recording was in 1985, after which they moved to Columbia, South Carolina, to work in the family business for seven years. They then moved to the Orlando area so Watson could complete a certification in Sound Engineering. Some of their songs are intended for congregational use and some for individual worship and meditation. Listeners have commented that their music is calming and focusing – like David playing for Saul. It is their prayer that the songs they write would be used to help believers express their hearts to the Lord and to be drawn into deeper intimacy with Him.

Becky compiled the Student Workbook for S. M. Houghton’s Sketches from Church History (both published by the Trust) while home-schooling her daughter.
