The speakers for 2009 are Dr Sinclair B Ferguson and Rev Eric J Alexander.

SINCLAIR B FERGUSON is Senior Minister of First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, South Carolina and Professor of Systematic Theology at Redeemer Seminary in Dallas, Texas. As well as being greatly in demand as a conference speaker he is also a much respected author and has written some two dozen books, among them several Banner of Truth titles, including Children of the Living God, The Christian Life, Deserted by God?, Discovering God’s Will, Grow in Grace, A Heart for God, Man Overboard! and a number of volumes in the Trust’s Let’s Study series of commentaries, of which he is Series Editor. Before moving to America he served for five years as Mr Alexander’s successor, in the pulpit of St George’s Tron Church in Glasgow. Dr Ferguson is Chairman of Trustees of the Banner of Truth Trust.

ERIC J ALEXANDER is the renowned former minister of St Georges Tron Church in Glasgow. Now retired from parish ministry he continues to be much in demand as a guest preacher and visiting lecturer, and there are many who value and appreciate his great gifts as an expository preacher. Many are the opportunities regularly presented to him, national and international, to minister the Word of God; this in his own gracious, inspiring and inimitable style. In his writing ministry he has contributed chapters to books on Preaching, John Calvin and the Westminster Divines, to mention but a few. He is also the author of an excellent, recently published, booklet, entitled: What is Biblical Preaching?
