J. Gresham Machen Books
Born in 1881 in Baltimore, Maryland, John Gresham Machen developed a personal faith in Jesus as a youth, without being able to recall a single day that he didn’t trust in the Lord. He received his in-depth education at Johns Hopkins University, Princeton University, Princeton Theological Seminary, the University of Marburg and the University of Göttingen. He taught at Princeton Seminary, and helped to found Westminster Theological Seminary and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. J. Gresham Machen books include Christian View of Man, where he reminds Christians how they are made by God in his image. In God Transcendent, he shares the glory of God and the power of the Gospel. In New Testament Introduction, Machen’s passion, clarity of thought and depth of scholarship are clearly evident as he shares the magnificence of the New Testament, while in What is Faith?, he addresses one of the core issues of the Christian gospel in a powerful, truth-filled manner.
