Purchase & Licence Terms

Where can I read the full terms and conditions?

You can read the full terms and conditions for digital products at this link.

What am I buying when I purchase digital content?

You purchase a licence to access content via our App. Some products may also allow
a separate download to read or listen to on other personal devices.

What does the licence allow me to do?

Unless otherwise stated, your licence allows you to:

  • Access and use the content for personal, non-commercial use
  • Download or stream content where available
  • Use the content on devices you personally own or control
  • Access content in accordance with any usage limits stated at purchase

What am I not allowed to do with digital content?

Unless explicitly permitted, you may not:

  • Share, resell, distribute, or publicly publish the content
  • Transfer licences to another person or account
  • Circumvent access controls or copy protection systems
  • Use content for commercial, institutional, or public use
  • Create derivative works without permission

How do I download the App?

Visit
banneroftruth.org/app.

The App requires an Android or iOS (Apple) device. The App also supports
integrated systems such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and smart watches.

Access & Availability

How do I access my purchased content?

After purchase, content is made available through your account library on our App.
Historic purchases such as eBooks may also provide a downloadable file.

Can I access my content on multiple devices?

Yes, but usage is limited to:

  • Devices you personally own, or under your exclusive control
    (such as a work device)
  • A reasonable number of simultaneous active sessions or downloads

Specific limits may apply depending on the content type.

What happens if I change or lose my device?

Your content remains available through your account. You may log into your account
on a new device and your purchases will be available for download.

Downloads, Streaming & Offline Use

Is content downloadable or streaming-only?

The App allows you to download files for reading or listening.
There is also an option to only download when WiFi is available.

Can I use content offline?

Offline access is permitted where download functionality is provided.
Offline usage may require periodic account verification depending on the product.

Are there limits on downloads or re-downloads?

In most cases, you may re-download content via your account.
Limits may apply to prevent abuse or ensure platform stability.

Account & Library Management

Do I need an account to access my content?

Yes. Purchases and access rights are linked to your website account.

Can I organise or manage my content in one place?

Yes. Your account library acts as a central hub for all purchased
content types where supported.

What happens if I delete my account?

Deleting your account may result in permanent loss of access to purchased content.
Recovery may not be possible.

Compatibility & Devices

Will content work across all apps and devices automatically?

If you have an Android or iPhone mobile device, yes, our products are fully
supported in our App.

For eBooks, device compatibility and support is limited, but we do provide
ePub and Mobi files for most eReaders, including Kindle.

Content Protection & Usage Controls

Is digital content protected?

Yes. Content may be protected using access controls such as:

  • Account-based authentication
  • Watermarking or Social DRM
  • Encrypted delivery or streaming protection

Can I remove or bypass protection systems?

No. Any attempt to remove or bypass access controls is prohibited and may result
in suspension of access.

Sharing & Personal Use

Can I share my purchases with anyone?

Generally, no. The licence allows for your personal use.

However, we understand that you may lend your device containing
Banner of Truth Digital Content and it may be read, which would not violate
the Terms and Conditions.

However, logging into a friend’s device with your personal account,
or emailing a downloadable file to your friend, would be in violation.

Can I lend or transfer content?

No. Licences and access rights are not transferable unless explicitly stated.

Refunds, Errors & Support

Can I get a refund for digital purchases?

Digital content is generally non-refundable once access is granted or download
begins, unless required by law or in cases of technical failure.

Once you download your file, you waive your 14-day right to cancellation.

We recommend you download our mobile app before purchasing, to ensure you are
comfortable using and interacting with our App.

This does not affect your other statutory rights.

What if I lose my files or delete content accidentally?

You can usually re-access or re-download content via your account library.
Deleting content on the app will not remove the item permanently from your account.

Technical Issues

What should I do if content will not play or open?

Try the following:

  • Update your app or device software
  • Ensure you are using a supported platform
  • Re-download or refresh the content
  • Restart your device

Do you support third-party devices and apps?

We aim to support widely used platforms but cannot guarantee compatibility
with all third-party systems or future updates.

Updates & Content Changes

Will digital content be updated after purchase?

Updates depend on the product type:

  • Some content is fixed at purchase
  • Some may receive updates or revised editions
  • Subscription content may change over time

Do I receive updates automatically?

Where updates are provided, they are typically made available through your
account or app.

eBooks

What formats do Banner support?

All Banner of Truth Digital Content is available in our App.

Some content such as eBooks may also have a download option.

  • ePub (for Kobo, Nook, or other eReaders, including Amazon’s “Send to Kindle” service)
  • Mobi (for Kindle, excluding “Send to Kindle”)

How is a Banner of Truth eBook protected?

We use Social DRM to watermark our eBooks with purchaser information
rather than restricting device use or downloads.

This gives you greater flexibility than traditional DRM,
while relying on you to respect the terms of purchase.

By buying and downloading our eBooks, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree, please do not purchase.

Respecting these terms matters because it:

  • Is a legal agreement
  • Protects copyright and the work of authors
  • Helps cover the costs of producing and maintaining eBooks so we can
    continue to provide them

Why don’t eBooks cost less?

The cost of a book is made up of several parts.

Many people assume that because an eBook is electronic rather than paper,
it should be much cheaper to produce and purchase.

Much of the cost comes from:

  • Creating the content
  • Paying authors and editors
  • Digital typesetting

While eBooks save on printing, storage, and shipping,
the cost of electronic creation and ongoing delivery makes the overall
cost higher than many realise.

Is banneroftruth.org the only place I can purchase Banner eBooks?

Yes. Banner of Truth eBooks are only available directly from the
Banner of Truth website.
